Our History
Peerless Bros. Agencies Ltd. was incorporated on December 29, 1947, by Ernie and Jack Peerless. In September 1963, Giuseppe (Joe) Magnolo (BASc, University of British Columbia, 1952) acquired the company, and by March 1964, he rebranded it as Peerless Engineering Sales Ltd. Giuseppe’s son Jeffrey Magnolo (BComm, University of British Columbia 1977) joined Peerless in 1989 and Giuseppe’s son, Ronald Magnolo (BASc University of British Columbia 1982) joined Peerless in 1993. Under their leadership, Peerless expanded, establishing new locations in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan; Edmonton, Alberta; and Prince George, British Columbia.
In March 2022, ownership transitioned to Mycroft Holdings, a family business group led by Matthew Sauder and his partner, Martin Carsky. While Jeff retired in 2024, Ron remains Head of Engineering, and both remain active supporters of Peerless’s ongoing success.
